Dance Caravan Blue Souvenir Album
I recently returned to the Goodwill closest to me after completely writing it off. It contained too many Barbara Streisand records and not enough records that were capable of providing me with joy. Being unemployed tends to make me board, while searching for records records makes me un-bored. After, exhausting my usual spots, I decided I'd take a chance upon the Goodwill closest to me that I had forsaken. Once I started browsing through the vinyl it became clear to me that our separation had been a good thing for our relationship. It may have been the attitude that I brought, or it could have been the Goodwill's will to please, but I came across a record that has provided me with joy. Not your regular old time type of joy, but the type of joy I get when I pick up a record, put it on the turntable, and do a double check with the album cover. Sure, the record is called "The Dancing Machine", but I figured it'd be full of ballroom type music with maybe a track or two of easy listening funkiness. On the contrary my friends. "The Dancing Machine" has provided me with tight snare drums, Curtis Mayfield type falsetto vocals, congas, congas, congas, AND a Kool and the Gang cover.
